The wife of the captain of Pakistan cricket team, Salman Ali Agha, named Sabba Manzer, spoke against abusive messages and threats by commentators on social media against her and their innocent son. The outcry was a reaction to Pakistan’s narrow loss to England in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eight stage. Numerous fans supported her request not to attack the families of players.

Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Ali Agha was heavily criticized in the wake of the team being defeated to England in the ICC Men T20 world cup Super Eight match. On February 24, 2026 in Pallekele, England trampled on 165 and won by two wickets. The century by Harry Brook closed in the outcome of England.

The social media went on with inhumane remarks regarding the performance of the Pakistan team and the leadership of Salman Ali Agha. Some users crossed the line. They passed indecent messages and threats to members of the family of the captain.

Sabba Manzer, Salman Ali Agha’s wife, responded directly on Instagram. She wrote, “Sending me or my innocent son abuse is not going to win you the World Cup, Pakistani fans.” She later deleted the post and made her account private.

Fans and users quickly condemned the toxic behavior. They stressed that criticism of the game stays acceptable, but targeting spouses and children crosses unacceptable boundaries.

The incident highlights ongoing issues with online abuse in Pakistan cricket. Salman Ali Agha leads the side in the T20 World Cup 2026 amid high expectations. The loss to England jeopardized Pakistan’s semifinal chances.

Many in the cricket community backed Sabba Manzer’s message. They urged respect for players’ families during wins and losses.
