Amid escalating tensions along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, the Pakistan Armed Forces have launched Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq in response to unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban forces.

The operation underscores Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its territorial integrity and neutralizing cross-border threats.

Security sources reported that 133 Taliban fighters have been killed and over 200 injured during the ongoing counteroffensive. Pakistani forces have obliterated 27 Taliban posts and captured 9 strategically significant positions.

Air and ground operations targeted critical Taliban installations, including two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, two ammunition depots, one logistics base, three battalion command centers, two sector headquarters, and over 80 tanks, artillery units, and armored personnel carriers.

The Pakistan Air Force conducted precise airstrikes across Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar, destroying major ammunition depots, corps and brigade headquarters, and logistics bases, delivering a significant blow to Taliban operational capabilities.

Ground forces executed coordinated counterattacks in multiple border sectors, including Angur Ada, Wali Khan, Bajaur, Tirah, Mohmand, Kurram, and Chitral. Taliban check posts were systematically neutralized, with several positions completely destroyed, and insurgents forced to abandon occupied sites.

Attempts by Taliban to deploy quadcopter drones against Pakistani positions were effectively thwarted, while UAVs and artillery strikes were employed to dismantle remaining strongholds.

Following their setbacks, Taliban forces targeted civilian areas in Bajaur, injuring five individuals, including three women, and damaging a local mosque.

Federal Minister for Information, Atta Tarar, confirmed that Pakistani forces responded with precision and professional efficiency, neutralizing Taliban assets and securing strategic positions. He highlighted that no Pakistani personnel or posts were compromised during the operation.

Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Mosharraf Zaidi, reiterated that reports of Pakistani casualties or retaliatory Afghan airstrikes are unsubstantiated and warned against the spread of misinformation.

Through this meticulously coordinated operation, Pakistan has effectively reinforced its control along the border, delivering a decisive and credible deterrent against any future provocations.
