“Nestlé inaugurates Nestlé for Healthier Kids room in Islamabad as the program reaches 20 rooms across Pakistan”

Nestlé Pakistan strengthened its collaboration with Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Islamabad with the inauguration of a Nestlé for Healthier Kids (N4HK) room at the Islamabad Model College for Boys, Chak Shahzad. With this inauguration, the program now has 20 N4HK rooms across Pakistan, to foster and promote nutrition awareness. Under the partnership, Nestlé Pakistan plans to establish three N4HK rooms and train 350 teachers to outreach 15,000 students in the next two years in collaboration with FDE. Earlier, a three-day training at the National Special Education Centre was also conducted for 45 faculty members and professionals Directorate General of Special Education, Islamabad Capital Territory.

The N4HK program is part of Nestlé’s global nutritional awareness initiative to ensure children understand the value of nutrition as they grow older. To date, over 3000 teachers have been trained across the country, positively impacting more than 440,000 children through the N4HK program.

Inaugurating the room, Federal Secretary of Education Nadeem Mahbub said, “Nestlé’s N4HK program has been extremely significant in creating positive awareness about nutrition across our schools and communities. The development of this room is a positive step towards promoting healthier dietary practices among our students.”

He also reaffirmed the department’s commitment to supporting the phased expansion of the initiative across Federal Directorate of Education and Directorate General of Special Education, underscoring the importance of a structured and systematic approach to nutrition education within the school system.

Talking on the occasion, Sheikh Waqar Ahmad, Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Nestlé Pakistan said, “The N4HK program goes beyond simply educating children about the importance of nutrition and physical activity; it is about shaping a healthier future for generations to come. Its outreach across Pakistan is an endorsement of Nestlé’s endeavor to promote healthy nutrition in the country.”

The curriculum for the N4HK program has been developed with Oxford University Press (OUP) and is part of Nestlé’s commitment to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 of Good Health and Well-Being. Additionally, Nestlé has also trained 5000 children on sustainability through Sustainability Training for Kids in partnership with World Wide Fund (WWF) in order to develop children as better stewards of our planet as part of the N4HK program.
